Do I need to create an account?
No. All tools work without registration or an email address.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The converters are free to use, one file per conversion.
What happens to my files after conversion?
The file you upload is deleted as soon as the conversion has finished. The converted file can be downloaded for 30 minutes and is then deleted automatically. You can also delete it immediately with the “Delete file now” button.
Are my files sent to other companies?
No. All conversions run on this website's own servers using open-source software. Your files are not sent to third-party conversion services.
What is the maximum file size?
Documents and PDFs can be up to 25 MB and images up to 20 MB (50 megapixels). PDFs can have up to 50 pages per conversion.
Can I convert several files at once?
Not at the moment. Each conversion processes one file. Simply start a new conversion for the next file.
Why does my converted Word file look different from the PDF?
PDF files store the position of each letter but not the paragraph structure. Our PDF to Word converter rebuilds that structure to give you editable text, so complex designs can look different and may need some tidying.
Can you convert scanned documents?
Scanned PDFs contain pictures of text, not real text, so they cannot be converted to editable Word or Excel files. You can still turn them into images with PDF to JPG.
Can I convert password-protected files?
No. Please remove the password in the program you used to create the file, then upload it again.
Why was my file rejected?
Files are checked by their content, not just their name. A file is rejected if it is damaged, password-protected, contains macros, is larger than the limits, or is a different type than its extension suggests.
Why do I see a message about too many conversions?
To keep the service fast and fair for everyone, the number of conversions per visitor is limited for a short period. Please wait a few minutes and try again.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The website works in current browsers on Android and iPhone, as well as on Windows, macOS and Linux.
