This Privacy Policy explains how PDFConvertly ("we", "us") handles information when you use https://pdfconvertlytools.com (the "Website") and its file conversion tools.
1. Files you upload
- Files are uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and processed only on servers operated for this Website, using open-source software. We do not send your files to third-party conversion services.
- The file you upload is deleted as soon as the conversion has finished.
- The converted file is kept only so that you can download it, and is deleted automatically within 30 minutes, or after 5 downloads, whichever comes first. You can delete it immediately with the "Delete file now" button.
- We do not open, read, copy, share or use the content of your files for any purpose other than performing the conversion you requested. Files are not used to train software or for marketing.
- File names and file contents are not written to our logs.
2. Technical information
Like most websites, our web server automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. We use this information to operate the Website, keep it secure, prevent abuse and diagnose problems. To enforce fair-use limits, the conversion service stores a one-way hashed (pseudonymised) form of your IP address for a short time.
3. Cookies and analytics
The Website does not need cookies to work, and the converters work the same whether or not you accept cookies. We use analytics cookies only if you agree to them, as explained below. If advertising is shown on the Website in the future, our advertising partners (such as Google) may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before such cookies are used, and this policy will be updated.
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Website – for example, how many people visit, which pages and converters are used and where visitors come from – so that we can improve the Website.

6. Retention
Uploaded and converted files are deleted as described in section 1. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes and then deleted. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics keeps detailed information about individual visits for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account (no longer than 14 months) and then deletes it automatically; only aggregated statistics, which do not identify you, are kept after that.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we do not keep your files and do not ask for your name or email address to use the tools, we usually hold very little personal data. The Website is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
